The experts of an international German institute (Filk) carried out physical and chemical tests on leather and leather alternatives, such as Pinatex.
It appears clearly that none of the alternative materials have achieved the properties of leather.
This is something to consider seriously when sourcing materials for shoes, leathergoods or upholstery.
